Deliver exceptional lessons:

• Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the varying needs and proficiency levels of our students. Your ability to create interactive and stimulating learning experiences will contribute significantly to their language development.

• Adhere to the class schedule assigned by the Director of Studies (DOS) or Staff in the Study Department.

• Start and conclude classes punctually.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Center's programs and apply the course management procedures.

• Utilize audio/video resources and Center Facilities, such as Center's Lab, TV, Projector, and Internet resources to enhance the learning experience.

• Prepare lessons and required equipment ahead of each class.

• Take responsibility for students’ welfare and progress

• Inform students of the Center's objectives and aspirations.

Administrative Work and Projects:

• Contribute to the development of the English language program. This may involve participating in curriculum design, educational projects, and other administrative tasks aimed at improving the overall learning experience.

• Contribute to the placement testing and interview process for new students.

• Engage in or organize teaching-related activities, including demos, conversation clubs, tutorials, seminars, workshops and extracurricular events.

• Assist in marketing activities and participate in the Center's social events.

Flexibility in Substitution:

• Be ready to substitute for absent colleagues, either on-site or off-site, even at short notice.

Collaborate with Leaders and colleagues: 

• Work closely with the Principal, DOS, colleagues and especially Teaching assistants to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency. 

• Join activities/ workshops with schools.

• Collaborate with the Center to protect its image and reputation and avoid any unauthorized posting or dissemination of internal information, images, videos, documents, or content relating to the Center, students, parents, or Center activities on social media, especially content that may adversely affect the Center's reputation.

Follow Administrative Procedures:

• Familiarize yourself with the administrative protocols of the Center.

• Ensure the teachers' room, equipment, and resources are well-organized and maintained.

Professional Development:

• Continuously self-assess performance and progress.

• Attend and actively participate in teacher development workshops provided by the Center.

• Engage in reciprocal observations with both the DOS and fellow teaching colleagues.

• Proactively enhance teaching skills by exchanging knowledge with colleagues and utilizing teaching resources available within the Center, on the Internet, and from other accessible sources

Work location:

• Teachers primarily teach at the six branches of the Sunrise Language Center System: Cái Bè, Chợ Gạo, Gò Công, Cai Lậy, Mỹ Tho (Đồng Tháp Province), and Long Mỹ (Cần Thơ City).

• 6 branches are divided into three main clusters. Within each cluster, the schools and centers are all close to one another, and teachers will stay in each cluster for about 1- 2 weeks. 

• Additional teaching assignments at nearby partner schools and language centers.

• A teacher will teach at up to three schools/centers per day within the same cluster

Note about work hour: 

• The schedule is flexible and will be updated and announced beforehand. The employee also has 1 flexible day off during the week, which will be arranged by the Center based on the teaching schedule. The day off will normally be Friday but may be adjusted according to the teaching schedule. Their official working hours will not exceed 100 hours a month.

• Teachers must not be absent for 02 consecutive days or 03 cumulative days within 30 days without a legitimate reason or notification to the Center.

• Teachers may occasionally serve as judges or assist with school activities. Participation in such activities shall be compensated with an additional allowance.

• Attendance at school-organized events and professional activities, including but not limited to Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the Lunar New Year Gala, teacher training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs, is mandatory.

• On holidays and New Year in Vietnam, teachers' working hours may be shorter. However, after the holiday, the teacher will teach to make up for the missing hours during the holiday month. Ensure the number of working hours per quarter is 240 hours. Make-up teaching hours for public holidays shall be paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate. If no make-up hours are completed, no payment shall be made for the missed hours. This make-up hour arrangement shall also apply to extended holidays, including the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Note about Working Violations:

• Teachers are expected to cooperate with the Center in protecting its image, reputation, and confidential information. Teachers should not post or publicly share any internal information, images, videos, documents, or content related to the Center, students, parents, or Center activities without prior approval from the Center, unless otherwise required by law.

• Teachers are expected to provide accurate information and documents, follow the Center’s rules and professional standards, maintain appropriate conduct, and respect the privacy and confidentiality of the Center, students, and parents. Any serious misconduct may be subject to further action in accordance with the Center’s policies.
