The project aims to impact SDG #15 by building up communities' capacity to respond and act upon the degradation of natural habitat, diversity loss, and the protection of wildlife.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Introduction to local partner NGOs and their mission Training on basic animal safety and handling Understanding common animal health issues Supporting animal welfare NGOs in organizing materials and logistics Mapping feeding points and identifying priority areas.
Week 2
Assisting in feeding programs at designated feeding points Cleaning feeding areas and ensuring hygiene standards Monitoring animal health conditions Supporting basic care under supervision (cleaning wounds, providing prescribed medicines) Documenting observations and reporting to NGO coordinators
Week 3
Assisting veterinarians and NGO teams during vaccination campaigns Helping in organizing vaccination schedules Supporting record-keeping and follow-up documentation Educating community members about the importance of vaccination Supporting basic post-vaccination monitoring
Week 4
Conducting community awareness sessions in neighborhoods Creating simple educational materials (posters, flyers, social media content) Promoting responsible pet ownership and animal respect Encouraging sterilization and vaccination awareness Presenting a final impact report and recommendations
