The project aims to impact the SDG #3 by raising awareness on prevention of non-communicable diseases and the importance of mental health.

By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Week 2
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Workshop: The role of mental health
Physical activity: Highlight the benefits of regular exercise, types of physical activity, and how being physically active can reduce the risk of NCDs. Demonstrate basic at-home exercises and activities to keep the body healthy.
Workshop: The key elements for a healthy lifestyle.
Prepare theme days conected with healthy lifestyle
Promoting active lifestyle through sport activities and games on the fresh air
Organise sport activities to promote physical activity.
Week 3
Nutrition: Discuss the importance of balanced diets, the role of different food groups, and the impact of unhealthy eating habits on NCDs.
Workshop: Understanding the impact of sleep on health
Group discussions where benficiaries can talk about their experiences, challenges, and tips for maintaining good mental and physical health.
Prepare theme days conected with healthy lifestyle
Organise sport activities to promote physical activity.
Promoting active lifestyle through sport activities and games on the fresh air
Week 4
Closing day with beneficiaries
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
