Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #8 by enhancing the capacity of local communities to build a promote sustainable local tourism activities that bring revenue and boost employavility in the region.

By 2030, devise and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Plan workshop for beneficiaries and local community as well as the promotional
Cultural performance training
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss the outcome of the project.
Week 2
Cultural performance training
Participate in Culture Beyond Borders held by the oganization
Teach participant's cultural dance or music to the beneficiaries
Week 3
Activity: Social media setup, content uploading and optimization
Activity: Practical photography & content creation
Hold workshops to empower local businesses and communities
Week 4
Closing and debrief
Create targeted outreach strategies for engaging with identified stakeholders, including messaging, communication methods, and potential partnership proposals.
Organize an event to celebrate the achievements of the project, recognizing participants and local businesses that have committed to sustainable business.
Create an action plan with the beneficiaries in order to continue the strategies created during the project.
Build a final project report and present it to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
