Learning the daily operations, routines, and safety guidelines of the rehabilitation center. Meeting the institution's expert pedagogues, physiotherapists, and educators to understand their working methods. Establishing first contact with the children, building trust, and observing their individual sensitivities and needs. Integrating into the classrooms under the supervision of the instructors and taking on basic daily assistance duties.
Week 2
Planning basic arts and crafts workshops (e.g., finger painting, clay molding) to support the children's fine and gross motor skills. Organizing simple, interactive storytelling and role-playing games to encourage communication and cognitive development. Providing active support for one-on-one play sessions for children needing special attention, under the guidance of specialists.
Week 3
Organizing music, rhythm, and light dance-based activities that contribute to the children's sensory development. Providing a cultural exchange experience by teaching the children simple and safe games from the volunteer's own culture. Designing team-matching games and outdoor exercises to strengthen the social interaction among the children.
Week 4
