Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Day 2: Introduce volunteers and students, explain project goals and roles, and establish the buddy/student support system
Day 5: Finalise teaching materials, textbooks and activity resources, and establish classroom rules and the learning support system
Day 4: Prepare lesson plans, personalised learning plans and learning materials based on students’ needs, with feedback from CCBT and AIESEC.
Day 3: Conduct a baseline English assessment covering speaking, reading, writing and listening skills
Day 1: Partner onboarding – meet CCBT/school representatives, understand students’ current English level and learning needs, and discuss project objectives.
Week 2
Day 2: Conduct alphabet, phonics and pronunciation activities and introduce everyday vocabulary through interactive games.
Day 5: Conduct listening and speaking activities using short English videos or songs, followed by comprehension questions and role-play activities.
Day 4: Conduct a creative writing session where students write a short paragraph about themselves, followed by peer correction and basic grammar activities.
Day 3: Launch the English Book Club, read the selected reader together, introduce new vocabulary and conduct comprehension activities.
Day 1: Teach basic English sentence structures using simple examples and written practice activities.
Week 3
Day 5: Conduct practical English role-plays such as job interviews, shopping and giving directions to improve students’ real-life communication skills.
Day 1: Teach students how to describe people and places using adjectives, comparatives and superlatives through interactive activities.
Day 2: Conduct an English storytelling activity where students prepare and present short personal stories using the past tense.
Day 3: Conduct writing and reading activities, including emails, short letters and level-appropriate reading comprehension exercises.
Day 4: Conduct a pronunciation and speaking workshop with tongue twisters, pronunciation practice, opinion-sharing and speaking activities.
Week 4
Day 2: Conduct the final English proficiency assessment covering reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Day 3: Analyse pre-test and post-test results, assess students’ progress, and gather feedback from students regarding their learning experience.
Day 4: Conduct student presentations or competitions and prepare the final project outcomes and impact summary.
Day 5: Hold the closing event with student speeches/presentations, certificate handover, project debrief and discussion of achievements and areas for improvement.
Day 1: Conduct simple English debates and discussion activities to develop students’ confidence, communication and opinion-sharing skills.
