The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Prepare the activities and implementation plan for the following weeks.
Conduct an onboarding session with school representatives to understand the students’ needs and the expected outcomes of the project.
Hold an introductory session with the students, including a presentation of the volunteers and the project objectives.
Organize a fun quiz-style activity where students answer simple questions about vocabulary, numbers, colours, animals, countries and general knowledge.
Introduce students to the volunteers’ countries and cultures through an interactive activity covering geography, flags, landmarks and everyday life.
Conduct an initial assessment to understand the students’ current level and establish a baseline for measuring progress.
Week 2
Introduce new vocabulary through interactive games such as Pictionary, Charades, quizzes, memory games and songs.
Organize cultural activities introducing students to traditional games, music, dances, celebrations and food from the volunteers’ countries.
Compare everyday life in different countries, including school, hobbies, sports and traditions.
Conduct creative, educational and movement-based activities to develop students’ knowledge, communication and teamwork skills.
Run activities adapted to students’ age and needs, such as English, vocabulary, reading, numbers or general knowledge.
Week 3
Organize a group activity where students prepare a short presentation, poster or creative project about a selected country or cultural topic.
Run cultural quizzes, traditional games and creative activities inspired by different countries.
Organize educational and interactive activities encouraging students to use the knowledge and vocabulary developed throughout the project.
Conduct a short activity to assess students’ progress and provide individual or group feedback.
Week 4
Analyse the results and prepare the final project report.
Organize a cultural exchange activity where students and volunteers share traditions, music, food and interesting aspects of their everyday lives.
Hold a final cultural quiz or team challenge to revise what students have learned about different countries and cultures.
Organize a closing activity where students present their projects and reflect on their experience.
Collect feedback from students and school representatives and discuss the outcomes of the project.
Conduct a final assessment and compare the results with the initial assessment.
Run final educational and interactive activities based on the students’ needs and progress.
