Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Supporting English activities
Discussing the activities and responsibilities with the teachers
Getting to know the children and the school environment
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Spending time with the children during breaks
Week 2
Supporting English learning activities
Helping children practise basic English
Playing and interacting with the children during breaks
Sharing aspects of their culture and background
Setting up a buddy system for the beneficiaries to track their development
Setting up a creative systems to increase the math knowledge of the beneficiaries "Creative Math" (puzzles, games, group activities)
Dynamic: Setting up the "Book Club", present the books to be cover during the project and explain the dynamic to the beneficiaries.
Dynamic: Introduce beneficiaries to basic vocabulary and phrases in a new language through engaging and interactive games. (eg. Games like Scrabble, Pictionary, or Charades)
Organize a quiz show-style activity where teams of beneficiaries answer questions related to math, vocabulary, or general knowledge.
Week 3
Weekly "Creative Math" Meeting
Taking part in English activities
Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
Sharing cultural experiences and traditions
Spending time with the children through games and informal activites
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Encouraging children to use English through simple activities
Run weekly tests to assess main learnings from the week
Week 4
Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
Run weekly tests to assess main learnings from the week
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Introducing children to different cultural perspectives
Participating in games and activities during breaks
Helping children practise vocabularly and everyday expressions
Supporting English learning and communication activities

Week 5
Supporting childrenduring English activities
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)

Encouraging communication and interaction in English
Spending time with children through games and recreational activites

Week 6
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Practising English through communication and activities
Spending time with the children during breaks and recreational activites
Sharing cultural experiences and reflecting on the experience
Continuing to support English learning activities
Closing day with beneficiaries
