Project
Language Bridges: English Through Culture Language Bridges is a four-week Global Volunteer project in Sfax, Tunisia, designed to help children develop their English communication skills through interactive, creative, and culturally enriching learning experiences. The project brings together international volunteers and local children aged 6–12 in a welcoming learning environment where English becomes more than a school subject. Through educational games, storytelling, role-play, arts and crafts, group challenges, and cultural exchange, children will have opportunities to practice English, express themselves, and build confidence in communicating with others. Volunteers will work alongside the local organization to prepare and facilitate age-appropriate activities that complement formal education and encourage active participation. They will also introduce aspects of their own cultures, traditions, and daily lives, helping children discover different perspectives and develop intercultural awareness. By the end of the project, children are expected to demonstrate greater willingness to speak English, improved familiarity with everyday vocabulary, and increased confidence in participating in group activities. Four weeks. One shared language. A world of possibilities.
